"Building Information Modelling (BIM), Construction Information Modelling(CIM)"

Approaches:

For the sake of generating design itself, streamlining and facilitating the design and delivery, we use the up-to-date design methods and engineering methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Construction Information Modelling(CIM) in Architecture, Engineer and Construction(AEC) sectors, associated with computational and generative design involving scripting/coding and software development and digital fabrication.

We generate our own design embedded with BIM/CIM and computational design as well as supporting and collaborating with project teams in architecture design companies, construction companies and manufacturing companies on Digital design services in the assignment basis or project basis.

BIM/CIM services for

  • Competition, and Bid Entry Preparations and Request for Proposal(RFP)
  • Consulting and Design(Concept, Schematic, Detailed)
  • Construction
  • Maintenance
  • Demolition & Renovation
  • Integrated Design (Architectural Design, Structural Engineering /Design, MEP Engineering/  Design)in timeline.
  • Quantity Estimation of Materials and equipment.

BIM/CIM skillset:

-Revit, CIVIL 3d, Archicad, Groove, Architrend, 3dStudioMax, Sketch up, Rhinoceros, CatiaV5 and a plural number of analytical and representational softwares in the FULL BIM user basis adjusting to different levels with different LOD(Level of Development).

-Modelling / rendering and production of 2D drawings for the formal documentation and the creation of study models.

-Expert knowledge and practical experience about the collaboration with different players like manufacturers, fabricators, contractors and subcontractors and about the flow process in the life cycle and cross over tasks in AEC industry.

-Support for the design flow automation, strong modelling of the complex objects, for management in a flow of design phases.

-Design with graphical and technical drawings in 2D through BIM in collaboration with CAD packages etc.

-Analysis and simulation as well as life cycle analysis in BIM for architecture design.

-Concept design making based on algorithmic design, parametric design-modelling and generative design principle.

Mission/Support:

We have long year design and supervision experiences on AEC sectors and can engage in the tasks relevant to each of the entire life cycle of the project development putting architecture design/engineering as a core service.

We are capable of delivering the tasks with 2d-3d modelling by coping better with requirement in each of them with better integration with the management of change orders(Value engineering, Cost down, question-answers etc), clarification of the design intent, requirement management and project management and coordination being part of the team as interlocutor and/or as collaborative architect and engineer.

Also, we are capable of undertaking a particular task as assignment basis on the dependence of the request and requirement of the project and client.

There are several specifications about the level of development which help clarify the content and reliability of Building Information Models (BIMs) at various phases in the design and construction process and about the information delivery in relation to BIM interaction in the project management in line with the scope of works in the above phases, completely in agile and concurrent manner knowing the overall waterfall flow of working progress.

They vary from Level of development(LOD) elaborated by the AIA of the USA in the range of 100 to 400(500 not in use) to Level of Definition composed of Level of Information(LOI) and Level of Detail(LOD) defined by UK AEC BIM protocol with the grades from 1 to 6.

Basically, the level of development, details and information in BIM/CIM models will increase proportionally to the ranges and the grades.

Also, there are also dimensional integrations from 3D for representation of the physical and functional characteristics of a building, 4D for time, 5D for the financial information, 6D for the environmental information, 7D for the heritage information, all of which are defined and interrelated each other.

Also, Information Delivery Manual(IDM) defined by the norm, ISO 29481-1 aims to provide the integrated reference for process and data for BIM based on discrete processes within building construction, the information required for their execution and the outcomes of that activity.

Tasks to do:

  • 3d parametric modelling and production of 2d drawings of the spaces, the components the fittings and the furniture.

  • Simulations and studies about regulatory checks, environmental and energetic issues, urban planning and land use.
  • Handling of complex level of models with formal and mechanical elements.
  • Transversal BIM for Architecture Design, Structural Design/engineering,  MEP design/engineering.
  • Volume studies using mass volumes and the floor area planning.
  • Visualization of the relevant parts of the virtual building for checking and exchange.(Inc. Clash analysis and update)
  • Collaboration and support for the precise production of as built drawings.
  • Specification draft and elaboration associated to the model, components and equipment concerned.
  • Quantity estimation associated to the cost of the materials and equipment.
  • Digital twin for urban 3d model and infrastructure as well as public buildings linked to the simulation, studies, and VR/AR.
  • Digital modelling and analysis at many levels from district to local and regional levels even with GIS.

Track record:

  • Diverse range of project experiences in all architecture design phases using BIM in collaboration with architecture firms including BD World Architecture (WA) Top 100 and ENR top 250 global contractors as BIM manager or BIM designer.
  • International design experiences with the flexible and multilingual communication(Japanese, English, French, Spanish and Italian) and work style.
  • Life cycle analysis consulting of the whole development cycle using BIM/CIM.
